While in Los Angeles she worked on set with directors Benny Boom, Little X, Chris Robinson, David La Chappelle, and assisted with casting for Paul Hunter. The roster of artists that Mary has worked with reads like a “who’s who” in popular music – 50 Cent, Kelis, 112, Sean Combs, Blink 182, Jane’s Addiction, Madonna, Britney Spears, Elephant Man, the cast of the film “Rize”, Beyonce, and Alicia Keys have all
benefited from her video production prowess. Upon graduation with a degree in Communications, African American Studies, and Film, she moved to Washington D.C. to pursue a career in education. She taught and mentored private and public school students, developing young adult self-improvement programs for non-profit organizations. During this period, Mary created a female focused program targeting
negative stereotypes, deciphering media messages, and learning about the various beauty and marketing industries that target young women in communities of color. It was during her tenure in D.C., that she branched out and developed her own image consulting and marketing firm, WeFancy Consulting Agency, in 2008.
